The horses like them and they smell great!
I've been looking for some treats for clicker training. These are perfect. The horses love them, but they are also low in sugar. My guys are pretty easy keepers, so I need to use treats that are small and not full of sugar.
Both my mares love cookies and they both seem to like these after a little confusion at the different flavor than typical apple or peppermint. The bag is quite small and is a good size to test to see if your horse likes them or not. Lasted my 2 horses about a day with my generous treat giving.
To be honest, I know next to nothing about horses. What I do know is that my friend has four riding horses currently, and has been slowly teaching me some basics in an effort to get me into the saddle. When I saw horse treats, I thought that using a tasty reward might serve as an ice breaker during my live horse interactions. My friend looked over the ingredients and gave one to her personal horse and it seemed to really like the taste, as it started trying to mouth/lip grab the bag from her hands. She went stall to stall and each horse really seemed to like the smell and taste of the treats, and even one of the barn cats took a half piece and ran off with it. Unfortunately one of my friends dogs also discovered that they loved these treats and now sits in front of each stall waiting patiently for one as well as the horses. The ingredients are really well formulated based on some internet research, and the blend is geared to be a great small supplement to horses, as well as donkeys, llamas, goats, pigs, and cows that have sampled them. I would say the seller needs to make way bigger containers of these treats for multi-animal farm use, but I do feel the price while maybe a bit high for some buyers, falls in line with similar healthy treats that are less universal for pets.
