Sydney Collier is a Paralympian, motivational speaker, and accomplished equestrian athlete who has built a career on breaking barriers and redefining limits. Diagnosed with Wyburn-Mason Syndrome at age seven, Sydney faced numerous health challenges, including multiple strokes, but never allowed those obstacles to stand in the way of her passion for horses.
A defining moment came in 2010 at the World Equestrian Games, where Sydney discovered the world of Para dressage. From that point forward, she set bold goals—to compete at the highest levels, including the World Equestrian Games and the Paralympics. With the unwavering support of her family, and sponsors Sydney adapted to her evolving physical challenges and pursued these dreams head-on.
Sydney uses her platform to advocate for greater representation of people with disabilities in athletics and beyond, believing that inclusivity benefits everyone. As an advocate for accessibility, she emphasizes the importance of adaptability and the power of community. Sydney’s mission is to make accessibility mainstream, ensuring that no one feels excluded because of their abilities.
When not competing or training, Sydney engages audiences as a speaker, sharing her story of perseverance, passion, and the importance of breaking down barriers. Her memoir, Beyond Expectations, captures this journey, motivating readers to embrace the unexpected and pursue their dreams unapologetically.
