Nick Skelton is a world-renowned show jumper with over 40 years of experience, including winning thousands of classes and hundreds of Grand Prix events. He holds the British equestrian high jump record when he cleared over 7’7” on Lastic in 1979.

He has competed in no less than six Olympic games. Skelton won team Olympic gold in London 2012 and the individual gold in Rio 2016. Nick was also runner up in the UK’s 2016 Sports Personality of the Year.

With a career spanning four decades, Skelton retired from the sport he loved, along with his horse Big Star, in April 2017. Nevertheless, he is still a leading light and remains a key figure within British Showjumping, his huge achievements still influencing the hopes and dreams of future generations.
